The "Treats Tree"

A tradition I started when Mandy (the teenager on the left) was about 2 years old:
Besides the regular tree in the living room and the birds' tree out in the yard, 
I had another tree in the dining room - this one totally decorated with sweets 
(cookies, candies, little foil wrapped chocolate santas etc.)
The neighborhood children soon got wind of it and dubbed it the "Treats Tree".  
I had to make a rule that said: "One treat from the tree per day per customer!"
At dawn each morning throughout the Yule season, there would be
a line of Mandy's little friends at the door who'd come to visit the Treats Tree 
and stayed to play.  Now my grandchildren are enjoying the tradition as well...
