website.
I've been dragging my feet on this part - not sure what to say.
Anyway, I suppose it's time to get 'round to it - So, here goes:

I was lucky enough to have been born
into a family that, for at least 3 generations before me on the maternal side, the women were astrologers,
psychics, spiritists, herbalists - basically witches -
though they didn't call it that. They
referred to their gatherings to consult with the ghosts of family members as a
"Family Tradition" and something done only within the family
circle - never for outsiders. (When caught doing séances for friends as a
teen, I was lectured on this point by my grandmother.) For the record, that side of the family is pretty thoroughly English with a very slight influx of Irish blood during the 1700's. My dad's side is Scottish) |

Mother would joke about how she
"missed being a witch by one day" (she was born on Oct. 30th)
but it was from her papers that I copied my first spells when I was 15. She gave me a crystal ball for my 21rst birthday. And for
my 14th birthday, I received from my grandmother my first ephemeris (a book
of tables astrologers use to cast horoscopes). |

After undergoing the requisite year of training, I was first initiated when I was 22. The next decade was spent teaching and leading groups while continuing my own training and working full time in an occult shop. I finally retired to the mountains and, not long afterward, I opened an herb shop. |

I have 2 daughters. One is 30 and the other is 18.
I have also 3 grandchildren, 4
dogs, 6 cats, 2 horses, 2 rats, assorted fish, a frog and, in the summer months,
I have crows - youngsters who've been injured or displaced and are in need of
rehabilitation. Then, when ready, they are released back into the wild. They
all serve as models for my artwork. They also sometimes poop on them. I'm an Aries (Neptune rising in Libra, Moon in Aquarius) and I'll be 52 on my next birthday. My daughters tease me about getting old. Just to show them, I've recently added "Harley rider" to my list of hobbies and have even started dating again. I am not a Wiccan - although I have and occasionally do still teach Wicca. I suppose I'm just an old fashioned "witch" - plain and simple...... |
